Fostering easier, faster ways of working: Cornerstone July 2024 release

In our latest product release, you’ll see that we’ve listened to and focused on delivering intuitive, mobile experiences across solutions so you can work easier and drive innovation. We're using Generative AI when and where it makes sense so you can work faster and more effectively. We're investing in unified, integrated products so you can continue providing flexible, tailored, engaging experiences to your people.

Already this year, Cornerstone has helped enable you and your people to complete 830+ million learning courses, which is a 12.4% increase compared to last year at the same time. That’s nearly 100 million more completions!

I am also proud that in line with our product ethos of inclusivity, our teams continue to deliver accessibility enhancements to all of our products in Cornerstone Galaxy. Just this year, we have delivered approximately 1,000 enhancements across our solutions!

How Galaxy is evolving in July

Cornerstone’s July product release focuses on three areas: 

Improving and simplifying your experience

We continuously refine and enhance the accessibility, usability, navigation and overall experience of our products. Our goal is to help make it easier for you and your people to stay engaged by streamlining and updating complex workflows or interfaces, expanding functionality in our mobile app, and enabling you with more self-serve tools. In fact, so far this year, we’ve seen nearly 93K unique Check-In conversations between employees, this is a 5% increase compared to last year at the same time.

  • Use Check-Ins anywhere, anytime, with the Cornerstone Mobile App (early adopter). You and your teams can stay connected, productive and on track, no matter where or what device you use. 
  • Take advantage of a unified landing page in Content Manager (open beta). Simplify your content experience from search to creation to management with an enhanced, mobile-responsive UI.

Saving you time and meeting your unique needs with Generative AI

We incorporate AI where it makes the most sense throughout our suite of solutions to drive efficiency and reduce administrative burdens. This enables you to focus more on strategic decision-making and less on routine tasks. With over a decade of AI innovation in our products, we focus on providing tools that adapt to the individual learner, enhancing engagement and efficacy, while prioritizing ethical and responsible AI use (focused data security and seamless integrations).

  • Enable personalized development experiences in Content Studio via Generative AI (open beta). Quickly generate engaging content descriptions that are optimized for search with the gen-AI powered Cornerstone Companion.

  • Reduce admin burden with better load support and bulk add, update and removal capabilities using Edge Import. Manage your own data imports with ease, removing dependency on support teams.
  • View real-time skills data across your organization via a redesigned Skills Profile. See actionable insights in the same view as skills, empowering both managers and employees to seek areas for growth and take action.
  • Build critical skills faster through immersive learning courses available in Content Subscriptions. Meet your employees’ diverse learning styles via out-of-the-box extended reality (XR) content or by creating personalized simulations.

Coming soon in our November release, with additional updates planned for March 2025 and beyond, gear up for: 

  • Advanced, self-service administration of Cornerstone Skills Studio, giving you increased flexibility via 3rd party or custom taxonomy integrations 
  • Management of Skills Profile in the Cornerstone Mobile App, including declared skills, viewing skills gaps, capturing ratings, ensuring you and your teams don’t skip a beat when working from a mobile device
  • Generative AI in goal creation, enabling you and your teams to write accurate, understandable and meaningful goal descriptions in Cornerstone Performance
